Bronzebeard: Finally created a guild for my bank toons
My #1 banker on the Bronzebeard server is a Female Orc. She’s a Death Knight. No surprise there since female Orcs are my favorite toons to play within World of Warcraft.
The past month or so she has been dutifully collecting items sent to her by Holiterra and most recently Zugsa, holding some of them in her personal bank, and selling others. Well, even she was becoming overwhelmed. There was just so much goods to process. She had already bought out all the slots she could from her personal banker, and she didn’t have the room to hold the wealth of items her associates were sending her.
I have toons on several servers but my main toons are played on four realms. Although to be honest, the only one I’m really playing these days are located on Bronzebeard. I have bank alts/guilds on each server where I have toons. I enjoy playing the Auction House.
After creating my first guild the others were set up fairly quickly however on Bronzebeard my bank toon drug her virtual feet a bit. I’m not sure why. This past Thursday, I set aside time, and created a guild for my bank alts on Bronzebeard. I used the same guild name I’ve used on the other three servers. As soon as my banker’s guild name was registered, I purchased three bank tabs for her. I’ll purchase another one this week.
Getting the signatures was relatively easy. My Death Knight lives in Orgrimmar, so she politely whispered unguilded alts and asked would they sign her guild charter. She paid them ten gold apiece. With my first (Alliance guild on Auchindoun) lowest I paid 3 gold up front, and sent an additional 3 gold after my guild was registered, but as my toons got richer, I upped the price.
Guild Bank: How much do bank tabs cost?
Tab 1: 100 Gold
Tab 2: 250 Gold
Tab 3: 500 Gold
Tab 4: 1000 Gold
Tab 5: 2500 Gold
Tab 6: 5000 Gold
I wasn’t too worried about the cost of the bank tabs since that can be made back easily, additionally I really enjoy the convenience it provides. All my bank alts are able to access the guild bank, and additionally they have their own personal banking space for specialty items.
I love raiding but don’t really have the time to devote to it so I’m not raiding too much these days. However, playing the Auction House doesn’t require a lot of time. In order to be very successful it does require knowing how your servers economy works. Playing the Auction House is perfect for myself, since I don’t like mind-numbing hours of grinding to make WOW gold, nor do I like doing dailies. Playing the Auction House requires less than thirty minutes of my time and I can make a heck of a lot more WOW gold.
When I first created Horde toons on Bronzebeard, I was disappointed. The servers economy is the poorest one I’ve encountered. The amount of pages in the Auction House rarely hits the 300’s. Additionally, compared to other servers I’ve been part of, there isn’t as much raiding occurring. However, the poor ecnonomy can work out to your advantage too, since in some cases you don’t have as much competition regarding items you might sell and less competition occurs when you want to control a particular market. My bank toon controls a few.
Unlike some bank alts, My bank toons don’t dress in bankers attire, nope she looks like she’s ready for battle. Additionally, my bank alts guild has a regular name. My bank toon really doesn’t want to draw too much attention to herself, so for the regular WOW users, she’s just another LOLDeath Knight checking out the Auction House.
However those that play the auction house, like myself, know her. In fact, a few have sent her tells/in-game emails regarding some of the markets she plays with.
I’ve been on Bronzebeard for a few months and within that time have made at least 15k gold. Although it’s true I transferred my Holy priest and Hunter to Bronzebeard the only one that came over with a little money was Holi. I gave her 1000 WOW Gold to help her gear up a bit once she transferred. The money I made came from the lowbie toons I had on Bronzebeard. I don’t play the Auction House each time I log onto World of Warcraft I know if I would, I would make a heck of a lot more gold than I already have, but I still do very well.
Recently, I decided I would make a big purchase for one of my 80’s on Bronzbeard. Initially, I was going to purchase the Travelers Tundra Mammoth for Holi, but now I’m thinking about purchasing it for Zugsa. She definitely would get better use out of it than Holi. Purchasing the mount won’t affect my toons WOW gold too much. They’ll still have plenty of WOW gold to horde. I’ve decided to wait a few more weeks before I drop the WOW coin on the purchase. When Zugsa finally makes that purchase, people will see her in the city even less than they do now.
The sluggish realm economy took a lot of getting used to for me as well — that and not having my army of professions at hand. Now that my JC and alchemist are in action tho, things are looking up.
Yes it took some time getting used too.
Even if you don’t have high level toons you can still make quite a lot of gold on Bronzebeard (Horde side) too. Initially I started out with mining and lowbie enchants, after I got some gold with my lowbie toons, I bought out insanely low priced items on the AH and resold them at the normal price. You can do the same with vendors…
